COPENHAGEN 2026

#SheBelongs is going to Copenhagen for something really special.

Our friend and partner, Khalida Popal, has invited #SheBelongs to Girl Power‘s 2026 International Football Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark. We will exclusively represent the United States at the Summit — four days of football, leadership, and culture alongside teams from eight countries.

We leave the USA on Tuesday, September 22, arrive in Copenhagen on the 23rd, and fly home on the 28th. Seven days door to door.

Event: 24–27 September 2026 · Format: 7v7, eight nations · Going: 8 players, 2 leaders · Cost: $3,500

Why We Are Going—It’s not about soccer or travel...

  • Connect and stand with other advocates of equal representation for women in soccer and coaching leadership.
  • Be a part of the path forward in creating a more inclusive sports ecosystem with better outcomes.
  • Participate in immersive leadership-building sessions with 100 other young women from around the world.
  • Spread the #SheBelongs story globally.

About Girl Power

Girl Power is an international women’s and refugee football organization based in Denmark. They run programs built on the same idea we are: that football works best when refugee and non-refugee players are on the same side, not in separate rooms. The event is organized by Girl Power and powered by the UEFA Foundation. Teams from Denmark, the UK, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Mexico, and Canada have all been invited. We’ll be the only American team in the tournament.

Final Note

This trip, like ones we’ve already done and new ones in the works, is how we highlight and grow each and every member of #SheBelongs. And why every girl, everywhere should be a part of the Collective. This trip will be a quick period of preparation but absolutely something we will pull off. We do bold, hard things at #SheBelongs all the time and this is what makes our movement so meaningful.

Let’s go! Like, literally, let’s go!
