HUDDLE LIVE #2

Amy LePeilbet — Olympian. World Cup Alum. NWSL Champ. Coach. Leader.

Real conversation. Real access. This is what being in the #SheBelongs Collective means.

Amy LePeilbet has a wealth of soccer experience and enviable accomplishments but during our latest #SheBelongs Huddle, she talked about something even more important: BELONGING.

Amy shared how soccer became her “safe space” growing up as a shy kid, and how the game helped her discover confidence, identity, resilience, and community.

From the U.S. Women’s National Team to the Olympics to coaching one of the top junior college programs in the country at Salt Lake Community College, Amy’s journey has been built on grit, preparation, teamwork, and authenticity.

Throughout the conversation, she challenged our players to:
• stop chasing perfection
• trust the process
• respond to mistakes with resilience
• keep showing up even when they feel uncomfortable or unsure
• focus on becoming the best version of themselves instead of comparing themselves to others

One of the most powerful moments of the night came when Amy said:

“You don’t have to be perfect.”

For many of our girls navigating pressure, social media, competition, and the uncertainty of growing up, that message landed hard.

Thank you, Amy, for spending time with our players and reminding all of us what real leadership looks like.

This time we had some of our local players in the room at UYSA headquarters!

The #SheBelongs Huddle series connects players directly with elite athletes, coaches, and leaders who share honest conversations about soccer, leadership, confidence, belonging, and life beyond the game.

Because soccer is never just soccer.

It’s community.
It’s growth.
It’s courage.
It’s finding your place in the world.
