#SheBelongs gave me an opportunity to build connections & learn different skills important to being a change maker. I made so many new friends and I want to continue making everyone always feel included!

#SheBelongs has truly changed the way I see myself. As a girl of color, it can be hard to feel seen or feel like you belong, and for a long time I struggled with that. This community reminded me that no matter where I come from or what I look like, I am worthy of opportunities, respect, and so much more.

#SheBelongs has impacted me positively with my confidence because before Spain my confidence was at the lowest and just being around such an amazing group of people it really showed me that I am enough and there is people that truly care.

This was a unique opportunity to play soccer and share it with the people who hadn’t gotten the opportunity to play much before. It helped me see soccer as more than just a sport but a way to connect with people in new ways.

I chose #SheBelongs because it felt like a safe, empowering space where I could be myself and grow alongside other strong, inspiring individuals. Being a part of this community has helped me build confidence, feel supported, and believe more in my own voice and potential.

I am proud of making it to the D1 level through many setbacks to play soccer at Oregon State. It’s always been a dream of mine and making it really has been so special to me! My future plans are to become a PT/AT and completing physical therapy school. I also have aspirations to play professional soccer.
STELLA
The largest impact #SheBelongs has had on me is being able to help build a welcoming and safe environment for teen girls. Through car rides, practices and travel I have been able to connect to each girl on the team and help make soccer a welcoming environment where they can feel safe to be themselves.
MARJAN
One of the proudest moments was in 2021 when many Afghans had to leave the country. I worked as an interpreter in Texas & helped a lot of people. I’m excited about my future plans to become a police officer and to grow within the #SheBelongs team, which is a great team to grow with and meet a lot of great people.ways.
